Cash For Clunkers Is Theft

That $4,500 rebate you will (or did) get for your new car is theft. It is more of the typical government theft of money from one group (taxpayers) that is given to others. So, that makes government the human-sanctioned arbitor of violation of one of The Ten Commandments -- "You shall not steal." It is not justified for you to participate in it because "everyone else is doing it." It is LONG PAST TIME for our preachers to warn the nation of our sins. What would Jeremiah say if he were here today? Israel in his time was in essentially the same state we are in today. God said to him, "Tell My people their sins." Among others, theft is a pretty bad one! And government has become practically a theft industry over the last half century. To accept welfare or a rebate from Washington is to fall into a carefully woven web of deceit. Politicians BUY your continuous support with these handouts as they carry out their 'makeover' of our society much as a controlling wife carries out a 'makeover' of her perceivedly deficient husband. God told Jeremuah to not go to their parties and to not go to their funerals. He wanted steel-faced obedience from Jeremiah as He sent the prophet to warn. Our political pundits are exposing WHAT is happening, but can't explain WHY it is. And, our preachers are equally clueless. Sin is not something that leftists believe exists, and our preachers are too chicken to call them on that. So, the religion of socialism (led by Communists) keeps winning. What will be the next cash handout? Cash For Refrigerators? Coupons For HDTVs? Oh wait, they already did that one. The socialists have been working long and hard to separate Christianity and State. When will we ever wake up and separate their socialist religion from State?

Nitpicking The Pundits -- for Fri. Aug. 21, '09

DOYLE:
1)  in hr.1, Pat Buchanan and Jerry talked about Third Party efforts to win elections and agreed that such is impossible today.  Pat thinks that huge amounts of money and charismatic candidates are necessary and lacking in outsider groups.  So, I say . . . WRONG!  The real problem is the very STRUCTURE of our election system.  If we continue with this ONE-DAY ELECTION system, then we will continue to be CONTROLLED by the two parties.  This is another of the SERIOUS holes in our Constitution!  I am working on an article (half finished) that proposes we amend The Constitution to set up a 4-round PLAYOFF system (like any other sports playoffs) that would open things up to an unlimited number of parties.  Watch for it at this site.

2)  in hr.3, Jerry discusses Jon Voight's statement that Obama is leading us toward a Civil War.  So, I say . . . Yes, we are headed in that direction, BUT, we can control it's nature IF we have the right LEADER.  Jerry seems to think we can all act like a giant flock of birds -- 100 million of us turning instantly together in whatever direction we must go.  NO!  man is a species that acts more like SHEEP.  Sheep need a SHEPHERD!

Nitpicking The Pundits -- for Thurs. Aug. 20, '09

RUSH:

1) Obama said: "We are God's partners in matters of life and death." So, I say . . . WOW! When do we start impeachment?

2) A caller said that we need a radio show to talk about all the radio shows. Rush thought it was a great idea. I agree too, but . . . I say . . . no one person could follow all this mass of information if he has to LISTEN to it. How about a web site that would post TRANSCRIPTS of shows. One could skim through written info visually much faster. A search engine could skim for topic words, etc. Software exists that could daily convert audio to print at the end of each day. Rush already uses such sophisticated software as he reads each caller's words in real time because he can't rely on hearing.

DOYLE:

Jerry said in hour 3 segment a that we are a weak nation now. Yes we are. So, I say . . . read my article "Our Deuteronomy 28 Moment" posted at my companion blog gbpblog.blogtownhall.com to learn WHY this has happened.

BECK: (Doc Thompson hosting)

A caller talked about free trade. Doc just regurgitated the typical Republican position on free trade. So, I say . . . everyone needs to read Ravi Batra's book The Myth Of Free Trade. And, I haven't read (but want to) Pat Buchanan's book by the same title. We find out WHAT WORKS not by theorizing but by TESTING. Nature always surprises us. Ravi puts out a simple formula that, if each nation used it, would result in prosperity for that nation irrespective of what others are doing. It is the ratio of the total Value of Imports over the Gross Domestic Product. If that number stays at 13.6%, growth is maximized, unemployment zeros out, and inflation stops. Of course, government must stop it's moronic socialism which would work against this natural law (?) of capitalism.
Addendum:  I forgot to add that this system must also include TARIFFS as the main means of achieving the ratio.

Nitpicking The Pundits -- for Wed. Aug. 19, '09

GLENN BECK: (Pat Gray hosting)

Pat mentioned that there are now 37 czars in this administration. So, I say . . . WOW!

JERRY DOYLE:

In the 3rd hour, Jerry read a summary of Mussolini's "Business Model" and showed how similar it was to Obama's model today. So, I say . . . if Obama is another such fascist dictator, where is our impeachment (if not, then Civil War?) to oust him?

RUSH LIMBAUGH:

In hr2, Rush read a summary of orders from Congress to insurance companies to submit information on salaries, internal affairs, etc. to government bureaucrats. But government is here once again (surprise!) outside powers granted to it under The Constitution. So, I say . . . that makes these ILLEGAL ORDERS. Soldiers in our Army are given the instruction that they do not have to obey an illegal order such as the murder of civilians. When will our corporations stand up to Congress and start disobeying ILLEGAL ORDERS? You DO NOT HAVE TO OBEY AN ILLEGAL ORDER!

JASON LEWIS: (www.ktlkfm.com)

Free show downloads will give you a college education in economics & political science.

Dems are considering eliminating the Filibuster in The Senate! Good discussion today contrasting Marxism and Capitalism. Energy Teaparties to begin in 19 States. So, I say . . . listen to the WHOLE show!

RUSTY HUMPHRIES:
1)  The Pay Czar?  I want to see a  list of ALL the czars.  I'll search, or if anyone knows, tell me where it is.  I'll either list them or link to the list.
2)  Rusty said (in 3rd hr.) that he has always thought that we need a "suicide Congress".  He means one that would go ONLY for the purpose of fixing everything, knowing that they would soon be voted out.  So, I say . . . Rusty, read my blog article below titled "We Need Single Issue Politicians Now More Than Ever".  Two issues -- Impeach B.O. and Term Limits for all Congressmen.

We Are Seeing The Holes In Our Constitution -- Part 3

I have long had an interest in The American Civil War (should really be called The War For Southern Independence), though I never really knew why. I had hundreds of the Airfix 1" soldiers in blue and gray when I was in junior high school. Remember guys? Do you remember the box with cannons, caissons, and horses? Anyway, I poured over picture books and National Geographics and studied the battle maps with their beautiful colored bars that represented Corps and Divisions along with movement arrows. It was all glorious to a young kid (with his head all full of mush as Rush would say) as long as the 640,000 dead and 1.5 million maimed were kept out of mind.

Today, I learn the politics of that era and realize that the current liberal vs. Conservative War Between The Hates actually began by around the 1820s and erupted into shooting in 1861. It did NOT start with Teddy Roosevelt's progressivism as Glenn Beck has been learning. Hey Glenn, the stuff you've been learning is all true. BUT, that was only Satan's Phase 2 of his relentless assault on this nation of Israel. See my book review in the companion blog about who and where Israelites are today. Phase 3 picked up with FDRs socialism and continued through LBJs Great Society. We are now in Satan's Phase 4 -- an alliance between New World Order communists and Islam (read David Horowitz' book Unholy Alliance).

The typical 19th century response to tyranny and/or oppression was to take up arms and go to war. But in the latter half of the 20th century, we have seen a new and maybe more powerful kind of resistance. I like to call it "People Power". This is not the kind of "Mob Power" that stormed The Bastille in 1789. That mob freed France from it's King, but that mob was stirred up by socialists. That mob carried clubs, swords, and guns. That mob resulted in what was really the world's first communist government over a major country. The Reign Of Terror lasted 10 years until Napoleon stopped it. Russia 1917 was merely a repeat of France 1789. The Bolsheviks however learned from the previous French mistake of leaving Generals alive.

People Power is unarmed, massive, passive resistance. It was started (as far as I know) by Mahatma Gandhi in India in the late 1940s. It resulted in freedom from British rule. The Second People Power took place in 1960s America led by Martin Luther King. He openly said that he borrowed the tactics from Gandi. The Third People Power movement happened in The Philippines in 1986 led by Cory Aquino. All three succeeded with massive social change and freedom. Could The Fourth People Power be forming now here in America? Again, an unarmed, massive, passive resistance is forming against our oppressors -- our ELITISTS in government. I think yes -- BUT -- notice that each of the previous movements coalesced around a central figure. These were SPECIFIC INDIVIDUALS not groups, ideals, or locations. As I have said before, the human species acts en mass similar to sheep herds. This is why the Bible keeps referring to us as sheep. Sheep need a shepherd to LEAD them! Sheep without a shepherd run off in all directions. They CANNOT lead themselves from within the flock! Such a disorganized flock is what forms Bastille mobs and Red Brigades. I sense that today's People Power movement may be coalescing around Glenn Beck, though he doesn't know it and would probably not want to admit it. I just hear so many people discussing what was on his TV show the day before. His ratings on TV have gone to the moon. He just may be a man MADE for this time! Remember Jesus' words -- "Do not be overcome by evil. But overcome evil with Good." Today, we must overcome evil not with guns, but with sit-ins. Because the consequences of Civil Wars with modern technology are just unthinkable.

How does all this relate to our Constitution? Well, Amendments can ONLY be drawn up and submitted to the States by Congress. All WE THE PEOPLE can do is petition them to "please" (like Oliver Twist begging for more gruel) consider one. So, if this current People Power pressure succeeds in stopping the communist takeover of our medical system, maybe a MASS movement of People Power in each State to "persuade" Legislatures to "persuade" Congress to introduce an Amendment that would impose TERM LIMITS on all Congrssmen and Senators could be next. Do ya think? You betcha!

We Are Seeing The Holes In Our Constitution -- Part 2

The last proposal of the previous article came to my mind when I saw in recent years a couple of cases in which a Supreme Court Justice recused himself due to some personal connection with a party before The Court. Those decisions were then made by a majority of liberals! Why? Because ONLY Conservatives would ever have the decency to think that they need to recuse themselves. Liberals on The Supreme Court would and will NEVER recuse themselves. They would and do jump at the opportunity to advance the liberal agenda. When a Supreme Court Justice recuses himself, who can fill in for him? All lower courts allow for a replacement judge to fill in. But S. Ct. liberal Justices probably marvel at the golden opportunities handed to them on silver platters whenever a Conservative Justice weenies out on them and leaves the battlefield to the enemy.

The question of whether a Justice can be impeached and removed has never been completely clear and defined. Yes, they serve as long as they want "on good behaviour". But what does "good behaviour" mean? Politically correct ideology maybe? Could a situation someday exist where The White House, House, and Senate are so fanatically controlled by one party that they impeach and remove all Justices who have an opposing ideology because their ideology is not "good behaviour" and not good for America? Maybe they would only need to remove ONE such Justice, enough to tip the balance in their favor. Maybe they could impeach him on trumped up charges. Maybe somebody could wright a really cool novel along those lines.

As socialism began to rise in our country since the 1930s, socialists (aka liberals) have recognized the Achilles heel that our Supreme Court poses. It is like a major hole in the enemy lines (us) that a decisive socialist general can run his army through. And speaking of The American Civil War (as I was with that last analogy) The Confedeate Constitution attempted to remedy weaknesses (in the U.S. Const.) that were already glaringly obvious by 1861. It was basically an adoption of the Federal one, but with a few changes. The document said almost nothing about a Supreme Court except to leave it open for creation at a later date. The lack of a Court reveals that the Southern leaders had no answer yet for it's problems, but agreed that the Federal one had been weak and problematic. If the Federal Court had ruled one way or another on the issue of whether a state could secede, war might have been avoided. The case was appealed to The Court more than once, but the Justices dropped the ball and chickened out. The Southern politicians argued and tabled each attempt to set up a Court over the next four years. And so, they never had a Supreme Court.

The Southern Constitution did have one change that I wish ours had -- it added more ways to amend the document. Our Constitution allows ONLY the House and Senate to introduce amendments and submit them to the States. If Congressmen get so entrenched in their cushy jobs as ours now are, WE THE PEOPLE have no real way to root them out via term limits. We need to "drain the swamp" as Jerry Doyle says. The Confederate Constitution had the same method, but added that any State Legislature could also draw up Amendments to be submitted to all the other States for consideration. This allowed for at least SOME greater innovation since new, fresh ideas could come from 24 origins ( 11 States with 2 houses each plus the central House and Senate) rather than from just 2. By the way, The Confederate Constitution had term limits built in for all in national office. President Jefferson Davis was limited to ONE 6-year term, for example.

We Are Seeing The Holes In Our Constitution -- Part 1

The Senate confirmation hearings over the nomination of Judge Sotomayor are yet another clear clear display for all to see of the weaknesses of our Supreme Court setup.

The Constitution actually said very little about The Supreme Court and cracks began to appear almost immediately in our young country. Since the Court's jurisdiction was so vaguely spelled out, Chief Justice John Marshall (in 1802) usurped by fiat that The Court has the authority to decide the constitutionality of all laws. Now, in modern times, The Court MAKES new laws and CREATES new rights from it's bench!

We talk of "checks and balances" between the three branches of The Federal government, but I believe that The Supreme Court, for all practical purposes, has NO check or balance on it. Why? Because any REAL check or balance must have some kind of enforcement. That would mean that the possibility of limitation, punishment, or removal be in play. None of these exist for The Supreme Court. The Senate confirmation hearings are supposedly THE check and balance for The Court. Yet these can easily be sidestepped by any candidate who is a master of legalese-deception-talk and mean nothing if senators are lax at this job. Why would we appoint ANYONE to ANY government position FOR LIFE? The framers thought that that should keep Justices out of the fray of politics. They were WRONG! We now know that ALL humans are political. We are a political species. The political cannot be separated from our genes. What is it the feminists say? The personal is political, and the political is personal. We (and Court Justices too) are fallen, sinful creatures in need of the regeneration of The Saviour. And, until that World of The Kingdom of God here on Earth, we ALL need controls on our various proclivities. So, I propose that we amend The Constitution to:

1) spell out the REAL jurisdiction(s) of The Supreme Court.

2) change the term of a Justice to one four year non-consecutive at a time.

3) allow confirmation by BOTH House and Senate.

4) no Justice can recuse himself from a case unless an Appeals Court Judge can be sworn in by temporary, case-specific appointment (again by House/ Senate approval).

I'm Back In My Top Turret

Sorry. I've been largely absent from the two blogs for 6 or 7 weeks. I've been moving some stuff into storage, hassling with car repairs, and just generally bemoaning my fate (it's from Shakespeare -- read a book!). It's been hard to write long articles because of time constraints. It's hard anyway to write stuff because I listen to so many pundits every weekday. These include Rush, Rusty Humphries, Jason Lewis, Jerry Doyle, Glenn Beck, and Michael Savage. I also catch the TV pundit shows O'Reilly, Hannity, Greta, and Beck. And The 700 Club has some good 7 to 10 minute video clips 3 or 4 times per week. On weekends, I listen to Wayne Allyn Root's 1 hr. show from Las Vegas, and also listen to my favorite pastor/preacher Ron Dart. And, I never miss Professor Michio Kaku's 3-hr show on Saturdays, Science Fantasic.

Since I must put SOMETHING up everyday to avoid losing regular readers, and since I'm listening to all these pundits anyway, I've decided to start a new regular segment which I will call "Nitpicking The Pundits". Here is the first NTP:

It seems to me that the conservative pundits fall into two main groups --

GROUP A

Those that believe we can pull ourselves out of our current political doldrums if we can just revive and restore The Republican Party. Get it back to it's Reagan roots.

These are all (or most?) of the FOX news people - O'Reilly, Hannity, Cavuto, Shep Smith, etc. and include Rush Limbaugh and many others on radio.

GROUP B

Those that seem to lean to some third party effort such as The Libertarian Party. They call themselves "Independent". They seem to believe that the Republican Party is hopelessly compromised and unrecoverable (kinda like when your hardrive gets that Blue Screen Of Death and makes clicking and grinding sounds).

They include Jerry Doyle, Rusty Humphries, Michael Savage, Jason Lewis, Neil Boortz, and Glenn Beck. All except Beck never appear on FOX News TV shows.

A Freudian Rodham Slip?

Did anybody else catch it? Yesterday (Tuesday August 11, 2009) we all heard Hillary Rodham (in Africa) respond to a question as to how her "husband" Bill feels about an issue back home in The States. She bristled with her 'Evil Eye' arrogant glare at the questioner and said that she was not going to CHANNEL her "husband" to find out his beliefs. Isn't this an admission that she rarely ever sees Bill? Doesn't CHANNELING imply that the person or demonic being that you are mentally linking to is at some great distance from you and out of physical and visual presence with you? So, she is unthinkingly confirming here what most of us have always known -- that she and Bill have a "marriage" of political convenience only and that they just come together during campaign seasons to hold hands and hug as a display for the USEFUL IDIOTS who still believe in them.

It's Rocky vs. Apollo Creed Again!

The Obama people and all other Liberals need to go back and watch the first Rocky movie. Remember the scene where Apollo's trainer was watching a TV reporter babe interview Rocky at the meat packing plant where he worked? As Rocky proceeded to PULVERIZE a slab of hanging meat, the trainer called back to Apollo that, maybe he should come see this. But Apollo ignored the warning, reasoning that Rocky was just a NOBODY. That is what the Libs are thinking of the MASSIVE grass roots rising anger about the growing socialist/communist/islamic tentacles that are taking over the USA. Beware Libs. Your arrogance has awakened The Sleeping Giant. The Giant awoke on December 7, 1941 and again on September 11, 2001. Those slabs of meat didn't last very long, did they?

How To Free Laura Ling And Euna Lee

Barack Obama could free Laura Ling, sister of actress Lisa Ling, and Euna Lee in 10 days or less if he has the wisdom to see how. Evil dictators like Kim Jong Il think that hostage taking puts them in a superior strategic position over us. Actually, such stupid moves put THEM in extremely vulnerable positions for themselves and their countries. The following scenario could have been used by Jimmy Carter in 1980 to free our embassy people who had been taken hostage in Tehran on November 4, 1979. Sadly, Carter did not display the wisdom needed to figure this out.

We start here with an aircraft carrier attack group of F-18s. The planes will use all weapons necessary to destroy any (or all) military targets in North Korea. But the KEY to the strategy is that they will NOT attack in usual war mode. Rather, they will attack according to a very RIGID and PRE-DEFINED SCHEDULE. Before any attack begins, we select a list of 30 military targets in North Korea. Next, we have our diplomat GIVE THE NORTH KOREANS THE TARGET LIST and scheduled TIMES OF ATTACK. Day 1, we wipe out target 1 precisely at noon their time. Day 2, we wipe out target 2 precisely at noon. Day 3, we wipe out target 3 precisely at noon. They will always know which target is next and when they will lose it! We can be this BOLD because we will have complete air superiority and the world will see that THEY cannot stop US. The North Koreans can stop our attacks at any time by releasing our girls. If harm comes to them, then ALL remaining targets will be wiped out. This will have been made clear to them in advance also.

The Chinese will not get involved because we will assure them that we will not invade the North. We have only one goal. We will invite the Chinese to put diplomatic pressure on North Korea to ensure them that we are SERIOUS. This would be an excellent time to eliminate the North Korean missile and bomb programs while we are at it. These targets must be high on the list.

If anyone reads this who has access to The White House, please pass it along to our commander in chief.

Exit Stage Left Politics

Part 3 -- The Political Stage

Imagine that you are sitting in an auditorium looking up at a stage. On the stage are three chairs -- one to the left side, one in the center, and one to the right side.  A guy sits in each chair. This setup represents the THREE POSITIONS that viable political parties can occupy in a one-day election system. The guys in the chairs represent different parties. They can and do move around to sit in different chairs.

The chair on the right represents THE CONSERVATIVE POSITION. The chair in the center represents THE LIBERAL MODERATE POSITION. And the chair on the left represents THE LIBERAL LEFTIST POSITION.

The second key component of this image is that new parties tend to enter the stage from the RIGHT side and move toward the LEFT positions gradually over time. When a party finally dies, it falls off the LEFT end of the stage. It's inevitable death is brought about by the suffocating influence of the super-far-left-controller-elite such as communists and/or fascists. But, if one of these "near death parties" seizes such control of a country that it can knock the other chairs off the stage, then that country falls under the darkness of terror and dictatorship. This LOCK-IN situation is then difficult to recover from. We've seen these locked-in dictatorships before. Nazi Germany, today's Cuba, North Korea, and Venezuela are examples. It CAN happen in the USA! The key to preventing the LOCK-IN is for the other two chairs' occupants to ACT QUICKLY enough that the "near death party" is aided in it's demise. We don't support euthanasia for individuals, but we DO NEED to carry out political Kevorkianism!

So, how do we accomplish this? The third key component here is that as people MOVE from party to party, a kind of sucking effect is set up in the direction of the main motion. The people of "The World" move en masse in a leftward direction. If we christians and conservatives do nothing, then WE will be carried along by that tide. But if we set up a COUNTER MOTION toward the RIGHT, a new sucking motion or counter tide will begin. It will be weaker than the world's pull, yes, but our tide will slowly draw the more moderate and reasonable people from leftist parties into other parties as those parties pop into their range of acceptability. The vacuum thus left in the most radically left party will weaken it and push it over the edge. Exit the (Leftist) Dragon; Enter the (New Vibrant Rightist) Tiger!

To translate all this into today's political stage in America, christians and conservatives need to MOVE RIGHT to the next new party on stage -- The Libertarian Party. This will create a vacuum in The Republican Party that will then allow moderates from The Democrat Party to move in and become Republicans. These will be people who are shocked and disgusted with Obama, The Clintons, and others. But they won't leave The Democrat Party as long as christians and conservatives are in The Republican Party. So WE need to make the first move. Let's let the liberals have The Republican Party, so that The Democrat Party can die and rest in peace. It's communist and fascist leaders will then look at each other and wonder what happened. Then the LEFT chair will be empty for a while, The Republican Party will occupy the CENTER chair, The Libertarian Party will occupy the RIGHT chair, and some new third party will wait offstage to take the RIGHT chair when/if it becomes available. This may be The Constitution Party, The Conservative Party, The Reform Party, The Goofy Party, The Silly Party, or whichever party can achieve the next viability.

To be sure, the political proclivities of fallen human nature will gradually corrupt this new 2-party setup. The Republican Party will someday turn communist or fascist. And, The Libertarian Party will become Liberal Moderate. But as long as they stay in the CENTER and RIGHT chairs, then the two-party system will stay toward the RIGHT half of the stage rather than toward the LEFT half of the stage as it is today. And, if we christians and conservatives can remain ever vigilant so that we will always catch the tipping points that signal when it's time to reshuffle, and if we can move faster to the RIGHT than The World can move to the LEFT, we just MIGHT be able to maintain this beacon of light and freedom in the world.

Democrats
(communists, fascists, libs.)
Liberal Left Chair

Republicans
(libs., conservatives, christians)
Liberal Moderate Chair

Libertarians
(conservatives, christians)
Conservative Right Chair

(imagine the above three groups as the three chairs and spread them out horizontally. I couldn't use any real graphics picture on this blog page)

Exit Stage Left Politics

Part 2 -- Where Should We Go?

Christians and conservatives must move from The Republican Party into The Libertarian Party. This must be done IMMEDIATELY because time is a factor in party building, fund-raising, advertising, etc. Why this Party? Conservatives have long had problems with some platform items of The Libertarian Party. That said, three key points must be realized:

1) The Libertarian Party is the ONLY FULLY VIABLE national party that can be considered on par with the two main establishment parties. Of all the several alternative parties, it is the ONLY one that was on ALL 50 state ballots in this last election. The quickest route to having a replacement party in a 2-party-one-day-election system is to energize an existing viable one rather than to attempt to build a new one from scratch.

2) The original Founding Fathers were a mix of what we today would call conservatives and libertarians. Before they split into actual parties in 1800, these men, working together, wrote The Constitution, Bill of Rights, and The Federalist Papers. They fought a war together and built a country together. Today, we must recreate those same bonds in order to save the country they started. Wayne Allyn Root, who ran as the Vice Presidential candidate on the Libertarian ticket last November, calls himself a mix of conservative, libertarian, and just common sense views. More and more Libertarians are coming around to accepting the pragmatism and necessity of certain conservative ideas. So, an amalgam of ideologies will form the Party platform.

3) To the best of my knowledge, The Insiders, that is, the elitists, super bankers, and the all-around New World Orderists have not taken over The Libertarian Party as they have the two establishment parties. They have smuggly overlooked The Libertarian Party as unimportant and unworthy of their attention while they concentrated on controlling the two main parties. They have also kept their news media and "culture shapers" reinforcing in us the magnanimous virtue of "The Two Party System".

The Libertarian Party had it's best performance ever last November scoring about 6% nationwide. Norm Coleman (Republican) and Al Franken (Democrat) nearly tied at 42% each in Minnesota's Senate race. Where went the other 16% ? That went to the Libertarian candidate! That's pretty close to HALF of what the (eventual) winner got.

I hear more callers to the conservative talk shows begin to catch on to this sentiment and say that they will move over. But, sadly, a whole group of conservatives still hangs on to the belief that they can rebuild and reestablish the Republican Party. Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity seem to form the core of that group. I admire them both, but they don't yet see that the horse has four broken legs. You don't try to glue it's legs back together; It's ready to be turned INTO glue! You just have to shoot it and move on!

Ronald Reagan said, "I didn't leave The Democrat Party. The Democrat Party left me." He meant that The Party moved too far left and that he came to realize that he had been a conservative all along. Still, he actually DID have to get up and MOVE! So do we and for the same reasons!
