Our Deuteronomy 28 Moment -- Part III

"The Political Side of Judgment"

Now that the proof is definitive that Barack Obama's "birth certificate" is a fake (actually 3 versions have been put out by various agencies), we have, by his own admission, the final say on whether he is even a citizen of The United States. Think about it: If he had kept quiet and let others release this "long-form" document (who of us has a 'long-form' and a 'short-form' birth certificate anyway?), he could have disavowed any knowledge of or authorization of the thing after it was proven a fake. But he made it clear to all that , "This is my long-form birth certificate (or words to that effect)." Since it is a fake, he has effectively admitted that he does not have a real one. No one else has it (his) either. No one in his family can produce it (his). No hospital can produce it (his). He claims that he authorized the hospital and the State of Hawaii to release it. Does this mean that the hospital and State conspired in this hoax?

Since he has no birth certificate, he was NOT born here and, so, is not a citizen of The United States. His mother made that doubly-sure when she made Barack a citizen of Indonesia in the mid-60s. And, there are no records in Hawaii or anywhere else that he went through the naturalization process upon his return to the U.S. So, the summation is that we put a citizen of Indonesia in our Oval Office. We put a citizen of Indonesia in charge of our military. We let a citizen of Indonesia put 2 Justices on our Supreme Court. We let a citizen of Indonesia drive us into near bankruptcy.

I have been appalled and ashamed of each of the pundits on the FOX News Channel as they so readily gave in to the lie from The White House. They ALL decided that the "birther" issue was not as important as financial issues are. They believe that the race to defeat Obama next year at the polls trumps all other coverage (except, of course, the Casey Anthony trial and whichever sex scandal is up each month). But, did each independently decide this or were orders sent down from Rupert Murdoch that all must shut up about the issue?

The most amazing scene of utter blindness came from Sean Hannity when he (briefly) discused the release of the "birth certificate" on his show the day after the release. As he spoke, a close up of the "birth certificate" played. At the top of the form was the large dark clear title: 'Certificate of Live Birth'! Back to Sean talking with guests. Then, less than a minute later, Sean played a video of himself saying, from a month earlier, "OK, we've seen the certificate of live birth, now let's see the actual birth certificate." Sean never saw his own mental failure there. I don't want to call it hypocrisy. I think he and all the others who think the issue has been put to rest simply just WANT to believe the lie because the truth would be too dangerous to face. Nobody wants rioting in the streets or a civil war. So, as usual, conservatives give in to a horrible evil in order to avoid conflict. Thus, we see how evil advances -- one notch at a time.

I was just as appalled at how easily Donald Trump gave in and accepted the lie. Notice how quickly his poll numbers fizzled immediately after.

Radio Land is little different from TV Land on the "birther" issue. Conservatives such as Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Laura Ingraham, and others are toeing the line on the lie. Some Libertarian talk show hosts are questioning the status quo, while the only Conservative talk host that I have heard question it is Rusty Humphries. He has Joseph Farrah on about once a week. Farrah, a writer at WorldNet Daily, has been working closely with Dr. Jerome Corsi on the issue. So, is this issue unimportant? OF COURSE IT'S IMPORTANT! There is NO more important issue today! Mitch McConnell was right to have said that the budget issues will NEVER be solved as long as Barack is in the Oval Office. And, we will have him in that office until 2017 because of Republican and Conservative blindness, stupidity, and ignorance!

So, how did this happen? The real question is: WHY did this happen?

BOOK REVIEW

America's Man on Horseback -- A Fable?
Guy Odom, Beaufort Books Publishers, New York, 1998.

This author, using a historical paradigm, predicted that social conditions (of his day) would worsen 10-fold by 2013 and that that situation (ours?) would make the potential for the rise of a strongman or "man on horseback" a plausible and attractive reality for America. He shows that all the great civiizations break down at or by the 10th "accomplishing" generation. He lists all our presidents as an example by placing them all according to their births cross-linked with their accomplishing generation. The chart reveals a decline in numbers of "A.G." presidents. Only two, Bill Clinton and G. W. Bush, are in the 9th "A.G." and none are in the 10th "A.G." which is listed as 1952 to 1976 (I am leaving out Obama since, though born in 1961, he is not our current president and this is another sign of decline). Also discussed are overlapping ages that are typical for great countries (empires? civilizations?). These are: Age of Outburst, Age of Conquest, Age of Commerce, Age of Affluence, Age of Intellect, and Age of Decadence. This is not a conspiracy book. Rather, it parallels a theme that I have been thinking about for a couple of years. The title of my article is "Why We Need and Will Have Another Franco". It's not something that I am brave enough to post right now, but if we get another four years of Barack Obama in The White House, a military coup would not be outside the realm of possibility. The real conclusion of my article is that, even if WE don't have a Franco from within ourselves, then Jesus/Yeshua Himself will be our "Franco" at His Second Coming. I don't mean that He is the same as Franco. Rather, He will bring salvation from islam, socialism, economic disaster, moral rot, disease, government breakdown, and satanic deception/delusion. Franco (unknowingly) provided us a shallow foretaste or model for how to save and rebuild a nation or a world. It's a shame it has to be this way, but republics and democracies do not work well with man's sin nature and do not last very long.

BOOK SPACE

The Big Squeeze -- Tough Times For The American Worker
Steven Greenhouse, Alfred A. Knopf, 2008.
Shocking summary of wage loss, job loss, health and pension loss, and loss of job security in America. Though this book is written by a basically liberal writer (Steven was the labor and workplace correspondent for The New York Times), I have always believed that liberals (including feminists) have accurate observations about what's wrong in life. Their problem is that they never can come up with good, correct, or any answers that WORK as solutions. And, many if not most of the problems are created by them. We need CONSERVATISM for the answers. At any rate, here are the chapter titles:

"Worked Over and Overworked", "Workplace Hell", "The Vise Tightens", "Downright Dickensian", "The Rise and Fall of the Social Contract", "Leaner and Meaner", "Here Today, Gone Tomorrow", "Wal-Mart, the Low-Wage Colossus", "Taking the High Road", "Overstressed and Overstretched", "Outsourced and Out of Luck", "The Lowest Rung", "The State of the Unions", "Starting Out Means a Steeper Climb", "The Not-So-Golden Years", "Lifting All Boats".

CIVIL WAR SUNDAY

Mystic Chords of Memory -- A Selection From Lincoln's Writings
Abraham Lincoln, ed. by Larry Shapiro, Book-Of-The-Month-Club, 1984.

Lincoln Reshapes The Presidency
ed. by Charles M. Hubbard, Mercer Univ. Press, Macon, GA.
And that's the problem. Think about that title. One man by fiat changed the whole role and power of that office. HE decided. HE waged war. HE ruled. Congress had little or no say in all that Lincoln did. It's no wonder that Southerners saw him as a dictator. Some chapter (essay) titles in this book:
A. L. and the Changing Role of Commander in Chief, Word of Honor: A. L. and the Parole System in the Civil War, Serving A. L: The Public Career of John G. Nicolay, Lincoln Spins The Press, Lincoln and the Greeley Letter, Lincoln's Pardons and What They Mean, America's First Black President? Lincoln's Legacy of Political Transcendence, A King's Cure, a King's Style: Lincoln, Leadership, and the Thirteenth Amendment, Reshaping the Marriage: Mary Lincoln and Post--Assassination Memory.

Lincoln and Chief Justice Taney
James F. Simon, Simon & Schuster, 2006.
The two battled repeatedly over issues of slavery, secession, and Presidential war powers. Here we see the classic (of all times) clash between liberal and conservative. Lincoln was the liberal, while Taney had the conservative mind. Taney stuck to STRICT interpretation and application of the Constitution AS WRITTEN while Lincoln undoubtably must have seen it as the "living breathing document" that today's liberals speak of. When he saw something that he was sure needed to be or ought to be, Lincoln would simply DEEM it into existence much as liberals do today. Yes, Taney was on the wrong side of the slavery issue, having ruled in the Dred Scott case, but the real answer to clashes like this is not to start DEEMING, but rather to somehow alter our system to allow the Constitution to be much more easily ammendable as new questions and technologies arise. The South saw this locked-up ammendment staightjacket and, so, put extra paths for ammendment in their Constitution. For example, any State legislature could introduce an ammendment for all States to vote on. Taney saw that The Constitution DID allow for any State to secede, and he believed that Lincoln had no power to wage war on any State especially without a declaration of war by Congress. Lincoln and his radical Republicans got around this by -- yes again as libs do today -- redefining terms. It was not a WAR, but rather a repression of rebellion. He always referred to The War as The War of The Rebellion (notice "War" of . . .).

Do We Have "The Next Reagan"?

I watched many of the Republican Presidential hopefuls on parade in Iowa. Greta Van Susterin interviewed 5 of them and my impression is that NONE of these is another Reagan. All Republicans are asking "Who is the next Reagan?" Well, Reagan's two most important qualities were 1) that he had a fiery DETERMINATION to defeat an enemy, and 2) that he had a DETERMINATION to restore America's STRENGTH, PRIDE, and RESPECT among ourselves and in the world. His great Faith, Humor, and Persona were added bonuses, but I don't think God is necessarily demanding those in His next "Reagan Pick". Yes I said it. It appears to me that God is about to pick another Reagan for us because we are repeating the Carter / Reagan cycle. He has done this at various times in history because we need to learn the difference between a LOSER and a WINNER. The Great Big Picture of what God is doing with humanity, aside from adding us as members of His Family, is that He is both looking for existing WINNERS and developing potential WINNERS from those willing to step up to the challenge. His is the ultimate Marine Corps: He's looking for a few good MEN. not a few good GIRLIE-MEN. All of the potential candidates so far fail miserably and embarassingly -- except one that is overlooked and not taken seriously by the "Great Punditry" of The Right. Let's look at each:

Newt Gingrich said he "needs to get the trust of the people" -- hardly a Firey stance. He also let his wife lead as he followed her in his conversion to Catholicism. That suggests "girlie-man" to me. He's a good college professor and has good ideas, but thinking too much will not impress the Chinese or the islamicists.

Rick Santorum is too boyish. He's not tough and has the "sweet boy next door" look and persona. The Chinese and islamists would laugh at him.

Herman Cain has NO chance. If he were running against Barack, Barack would win by 80% to 20%. A black conservative just would never get that 94% black vote. His plans for office are, typically for most of these candidates, focused so much on the minutiae of numbers and ideas that he misses the IMPORTANCE of those two Reagan qualities I listed above. Take care of those two and it will be amazing how the other problems will seem to magically fall in line.

Tim Pawlenty is another like Santorum. He's a great guy with the same "sweet boyish" looks. He comes across as too soft and gentle. The Chinese and islamists would also laugh at him.

Former Gov. Buddy Roemer is at least for energy independence, but then, so are all of them. I just sense that he has no chance.

Of others that were not in Iowa, Sarah Palin is too womanly to be another Reagan. She should either be a Congresswoman or be in a Cabinet position for energy issues. But she should not be a President because she would embolden the islamicists. Her persona and voice mannerisms come across as those of a Kindergarten teacher talking to her class. Mike Huckabee is too populist and accomodating to liberals. As such, he reminds me of Jimmy Carter's persona as he sucked up to every dictator in the world. Mike would compromise everywhere he could so that everyone from all sides would speak well of him. The Chinese and the islamicists would use that to achieve further stealthy inroads into our tent. Mitt Romney, the apparent front runner may have the best chance over all the above, but I sense that he also falls short on the two big Reagan qualities above. I can't see him instilling FEAR in enemies. I can't see him holding fast without compromising. And, I can't see him as a man of original ideas. I may be wrong about him, but we need an IDEA MAN who is FEARED and RESPECTED.

There may be one man who meets all the requirements, yet is not taken seriously. I felt the same about him until I heard Rush Limbaugh interview this man on the Rush radio show over a week ago. I was stirred to hear Donald Trump rant and rave about our trade war with China, what he would (with his business acumen) do about our collapsing dollar, and what he would do to restore RESPECT to America in the world. So far, he is the only one of the hopefuls who has said he would rebuild the military (as Reagan had to do after Carter's destruction of it. Now BO has repeated that destruction). He talked about more issues, but what impressed me was his PASSION and Fireyness! I thought, "All the others speak softly and carry a wet noodle. This guy would carry a big stick and not know HOW to speak softly". Actually, the very first Carter / Reagan cycle was in 1,000 BC when God provided Israel first with King Saul followed by the boy David. God then knew exactly what He was trying to teach. It will be fascinating to watch whether we really will have another Carter / Reagan cycle.

Conservatives Are From Mars, Liberals Are From Venus -- part 2

"Conservs and Libs on a Date"

Extrapolating once again from John Gray's Mars / Venus series to the violent and disfunctional "marriage" that we are all forced to watch on our political stage, we can ask, "Did Conservs (collectively) and Libs (collectively) fail to pass smoothly and successfully through the five stages of dating that John so beautifully lays out in his book Mars and Venus on a Date (Harper Collins, 1997)?" The answer must be "NO" and that what we are seeing is actually a FORCED or ARRANGED marriage similar to those in Middle Eastern countries, India, and elsewhere. Is there any hope for such a couple as this to get a life, yield liberty, and find the pursuit of happiness in the peaceful joy of marital bliss? Some married couples have renewed and refreshed their bond by actually going back to DATING because they have discovered an excitement and fullfillment that they had forgotten they ever had. What if Conservs (collectively) and Libs (collectively) begin with Dating Stage One: Attraction? We have already seen one individual Conserv, Mary Matelin, and one individual Lib, James Carville, begin with attraction, pass through all five stages, and end up as married soul mates. It can happen. Stage Two is: Uncertainty. We all experience the normal stage of wondering if our partner is really right for us. Conservs and Libs are probably most likely to get hung up on this one, but with proper therapy, they may make it through. Stage Three is: Exclusivity. No problem here. There isn't even any other ideological group to be with even if you DID want to cheat. Stage Four is: Intimacy. This one could be real interesting to watch. After all, there is already a whole lot of intimacy going around Washington these days at the individual level. Last month's State-of-The-Union Address where our Congressmen mixed seating was a meek attempt at faux intimacy and may have been getting a little too far ahead too soon. Still, it was a hopefull sign. Stage Five is: Engagement. Here our Congress will plan and move into renewal of their marriage vows. And if the happy couple can only apply The Apostle Paul's direction from Ephesians chapter five that wives are to be obedient to their husbands while husbands are to love their wives, we will again have a respected house on the block where the neighbors won't have to complain about all the noise.

CIVIL WAR SUNDAY

The Emergence of Lincoln: Douglas, Buchanan, and Party Chaos 1857 - 1859
Allan Nevins, Charles Scribner's Sons, 1950.
This is vol. 3 of the famous 10 volume series "Ordeal of The Union" that covers the tumultuous times in US history from The Mexican War to the end of The Reconstruction Period. We have three of the volumes for the CCLSC library.

Lincoln's Darkest Year -- The War in 1862
William Marvel, Houghton Mifflin Co., 2008.
Covers the Peninsula Campaign and The Seven Days Battles where "Granny Lee" shocked and humiliated the Federals, the Confederate victory at Second Manassas, the lucky break at Antietam that stopped Lee's first invasion, and the massive Federal losses at Fredericksburg. A long series of bad Generals, political bickering, and organizational chaos plagued the year. Multi award-winning author. Great stuff.
