Exit Stage Left Politics

Part 3 -- The Political Stage

Imagine that you are sitting in an auditorium looking up at a stage. On the stage are three chairs -- one to the left side, one in the center, and one to the right side.  A guy sits in each chair. This setup represents the THREE POSITIONS that viable political parties can occupy in a one-day election system. The guys in the chairs represent different parties. They can and do move around to sit in different chairs.

The chair on the right represents THE CONSERVATIVE POSITION. The chair in the center represents THE LIBERAL MODERATE POSITION. And the chair on the left represents THE LIBERAL LEFTIST POSITION.

The second key component of this image is that new parties tend to enter the stage from the RIGHT side and move toward the LEFT positions gradually over time. When a party finally dies, it falls off the LEFT end of the stage. It's inevitable death is brought about by the suffocating influence of the super-far-left-controller-elite such as communists and/or fascists. But, if one of these "near death parties" seizes such control of a country that it can knock the other chairs off the stage, then that country falls under the darkness of terror and dictatorship. This LOCK-IN situation is then difficult to recover from. We've seen these locked-in dictatorships before. Nazi Germany, today's Cuba, North Korea, and Venezuela are examples. It CAN happen in the USA! The key to preventing the LOCK-IN is for the other two chairs' occupants to ACT QUICKLY enough that the "near death party" is aided in it's demise. We don't support euthanasia for individuals, but we DO NEED to carry out political Kevorkianism!

So, how do we accomplish this? The third key component here is that as people MOVE from party to party, a kind of sucking effect is set up in the direction of the main motion. The people of "The World" move en masse in a leftward direction. If we christians and conservatives do nothing, then WE will be carried along by that tide. But if we set up a COUNTER MOTION toward the RIGHT, a new sucking motion or counter tide will begin. It will be weaker than the world's pull, yes, but our tide will slowly draw the more moderate and reasonable people from leftist parties into other parties as those parties pop into their range of acceptability. The vacuum thus left in the most radically left party will weaken it and push it over the edge. Exit the (Leftist) Dragon; Enter the (New Vibrant Rightist) Tiger!

To translate all this into today's political stage in America, christians and conservatives need to MOVE RIGHT to the next new party on stage -- The Libertarian Party. This will create a vacuum in The Republican Party that will then allow moderates from The Democrat Party to move in and become Republicans. These will be people who are shocked and disgusted with Obama, The Clintons, and others. But they won't leave The Democrat Party as long as christians and conservatives are in The Republican Party. So WE need to make the first move. Let's let the liberals have The Republican Party, so that The Democrat Party can die and rest in peace. It's communist and fascist leaders will then look at each other and wonder what happened. Then the LEFT chair will be empty for a while, The Republican Party will occupy the CENTER chair, The Libertarian Party will occupy the RIGHT chair, and some new third party will wait offstage to take the RIGHT chair when/if it becomes available. This may be The Constitution Party, The Conservative Party, The Reform Party, The Goofy Party, The Silly Party, or whichever party can achieve the next viability.

To be sure, the political proclivities of fallen human nature will gradually corrupt this new 2-party setup. The Republican Party will someday turn communist or fascist. And, The Libertarian Party will become Liberal Moderate. But as long as they stay in the CENTER and RIGHT chairs, then the two-party system will stay toward the RIGHT half of the stage rather than toward the LEFT half of the stage as it is today. And, if we christians and conservatives can remain ever vigilant so that we will always catch the tipping points that signal when it's time to reshuffle, and if we can move faster to the RIGHT than The World can move to the LEFT, we just MIGHT be able to maintain this beacon of light and freedom in the world.

Democrats
(communists, fascists, libs.)
Liberal Left Chair

Republicans
(libs., conservatives, christians)
Liberal Moderate Chair

Libertarians
(conservatives, christians)
Conservative Right Chair

(imagine the above three groups as the three chairs and spread them out horizontally. I couldn't use any real graphics picture on this blog page)

Barack's European Tour

Is it just me or did I miss something? Mr. Obama's European Tour ran from March 31st till April 5th. He visited London, France, Germany, and The Czech Republic. He then visited Istanbul, Turkey. Finally, he made a surprise visit to Baghdad where he met our troops. I don't see anywhere on that itenerary that he visited Israel -- our main ally in the MidEast and the only democracy in the MidEast. He could so EASILY have visited Tel Aviv coming back from Baghdad. He had plenty of time to visit islamic mosques in each of those cities, yet he had no time for Jewish leaders! Why does this reinforce my STRONG suspicion that he is NOT a Christian, but rather is an islamic who is, behind our backs, aiding and abetting Israel's and the USA's islamic enemies' designs on our lands? He also, I'm told, did not visit our WWII memorials and cemeteries in England and France as did President Reagan. It saddened me to see so many of our troops in Baghdad cheering and clapping for him. I thought that our military personnel were, by majority, conservative. A collectivist "world mind" is beginning to affect us all!

The Only Sane Term Limits

Ted Kennedy has been in the U.S. Senate for over 46 years. Robert Byrd has been in his office for over 49 years. Rep. Tom Delay was in his office for 25 years. This is insane. When politicians make their office a career, we ALL suffer. The power of incumbency is real and formidable.

We NEED term limits! But it is the KIND of limits that we need to impose that will make a difference. We must limit politicians not to a fixed time of, say, two terms as we do the President, but to ONE NON-CONSECUTIVE TERM AT A TIME. A House member would then serve ONE two-year term and stand out for the next two years. He could run again and serve another two years then stand out, etc. He could run as many times as he wished until the end of his life. The same would apply for the Senate and for the Presidency. The Presidential model here was Grover Cleveland's terms. He was the only President who served two non-consecutive terms. Between his two terms, Chester A. Arthur was President for four years. With non-consecutive term limits, a President could serve five or six terms if the people thought him worthy of bringing back that often. A bad President would most likely never be brought back after one term.

Two arguments have been raised against imposing term limits on Congress. First, is the one that claims bureaucrats will have more power if we limit politicians. But the bureaucracy is a liberal establishment already. At least rotating fresh Congressmen in and out would give 'We The People' some chance of changing that. Second, we don't want to prevent GOOD people from staying on. With rapid cycling of Congressmen, the tendency would be to KEEP bringing back the GOOD ones. BAD ones would tend to be weeded out because of their bad records.

Non-consecutive term limits would eliminate 1) the power of incumbency, 2) the 'Lame Duck' effect since ALL politicians would be similar ducks in the pond, 3) politicians' campaigning on OUR time and on OUR dollar while in office, and 4) politicians' getting too OLD and DEMENTED with no possiblity of removal except by DEATH.

We need a Constitutional Amendment to make this change. But Congress would never limit themselves this way. We The People would have to put MAJOR PRESSURE on our State legislatures to petition Congress to introduce such an Amendment or call a Constitutional Convention to introduce one.  If this doesn't work, then we would have to start MASSIVE elective and/ or recall efforts in each state to get new House and Senate members who would support the new amendment.

Intro - What These Two Blogs are All About

The 'Politics Is Our Future Blog' and the 'Great Big Picture Blog' reflect the natural duality that is found throughout life. The FIRST will always have articles that deal with The Physical (or structural). Currently, these center on recent political events, but many of the ideas may also carry over into our next life - that 'World Tomorrow' or 'Millenial Kingdom Age'. Thus, there often will be a religion application. Man is a political animal. So, it makes sense that God would want us to learn right political concepts. You didn't know that we will be applying all this political learning not now but in our future assignments in The Kingdom did you?

The SECOND blog will always have articles that deal with The Spiritual. Correcting doctrinal confusion involves seperating out those beliefs that are wrong and nonsensical. A synthesis of the remaining ones should lead to a sudden realization of 'The Great Big Picture'. All of our religious leaders are in the same predicament as Rudyard Kipling's 10 blind men. Each of them touched a different part of an elephant and came to a wrong conclusion as to what an elephant is. Similarly, our preachers and theologians are touching seperate pieces of the Doctrinal Elephant. They cannot see the whole because of the blinders they wear. It is no wonder that the average church goer ignores doctrine as too hard to understand. The bottom line is this - There is no one group that has everything right and nothing wrong. The honor of correcting it all is being reserved for Christ at His coming. And that bottom line applies to these blogs too. But, at least having this right understanding about our place behind the dark glass that we see through will be a good start toward seeing The Whole Elephant.

Semi-regular sections at both blogs will be BOOK REVIEWS and WHAT THE KINGDOM WILL BE LIKE.
