Republicans in the House of Representatives should ignore liberal Senator's objections to spending cuts and just pass the best budget bill they can. The Constitution does NOT say that The Senate has any ENFORCEABLE say in budget matters. The budget is the ONE kind of bill that The House can pass alone. Read it in Article One, Section 7: "All bills for raising revenue shall originate in the House of Representatives, but the Senate MAY (MAY -- MAY -- MAY [as in "MAY" not "MUST"]) PROPOSE (as in "NOTHING BINDING") or CONCUR WITH amendments as on other bills (does not mean this process is the SAME AS for other bills). Bringing The Senate in on original budgets is only a recent COURTESY.
So, Reps, just pass something and send it to the guy currently occupying The Oval Office (since you believe him to be president) and let him veto it. Then, if you have the votes, override his veto. The Senate, according to Article One, Section 7 would also have to have a 2/3 override which they would not do. So, if you can't override, then make some slight change to the budget and send the "new" one to The Oval Office. Continue this process every week, if neccessary for the next 17 months. You will expose Obama and democrats as the blocker of progress, or, at the least, you will force him to forego any more of his lavish vacations as well as the twice-a-week-campaign trips he takes (as Karl Rove pointed out) since if he leaves The Oval Office for too long (10 days), a bill would automatically become law. Of course, each bill must be presented to him IN PERSON ONLY IN THE OVAL OFFICE much as any attorney would do when serving papers on an opponent. Please Republicans, this may be the only way to save the country.
